MISSION STATEMENT

The Trout Forest Music Festival organization is a grassroots, non-profit collective of folk music enthusiasts who are committed to providing quality live entertainment to their audiences.

We will endeavour to provide our audience with a good and varied musical experience, in a comfortable waterfront setting with creative selections of food, home-made arts and crafts, all at affordable prices.
OBJECTIVES

1. To expose ordinary people from all walks of life and of all ages to a variety of music traditions in a live, intimate, outdoor setting at a price affordable by the average family.

2. To place a special effort on promotion of local, regional and First Nation musicians and their culture by providing them with an appropriate venue in which to showcase their talent and an opportunity to interact with and learn from other musicians.

3. To foster within individual family units, and people of various ages, a common appreciation and enjoyment of quality music in terms of a shared activity.

4. To reflect traditional societal values of good moral conduct, tolerance, concern, consideration of neighbours and the environment.

The following form represents the bare minimum to be considered for the festival. It is likely that members of the programming committee will need to see the artist live in the market area, so be sure to let us know when the tour is stopping in the Winnipeg and NW Ontario (Kenora, Dryden, Red Lake) areas. We also regularly attend the Folk Alliance International and Folk Music Ontario showcases.

ALL OF THE FOLLOWING FIELDS MUST BE FILLED IN FOR AN ARTIST TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THE FESTIVAL.
